How Arc Wealth Planner collects, uses, and protects your information.

Last updated September 17, 2026

Overview

Arc Wealth Planner (“Arc,” “we,” “us”) helps households plan net worth, spending, and long-term goals. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Arc provides educational projections and planning tools. We do not provide investment, tax, or legal advice.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide and data from services you connect:

  • Account details: name, email, and authentication identifiers when you sign up.
  • Plan data: net worth accounts, balances, assumptions, scenarios, and household invites you create.
  • Linked financial data via Plaid: institution name, account names, masks, balances, and transaction history when you choose to connect accounts.
  • Usage data: basic diagnostics (page views, errors) to keep the product reliable.

How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Run your plan, charts, forecasts, and household sharing.
  • Sync linked account balances and spending where you enable Plaid.
  • Send transactional email (invites, trial reminders, billing receipts) when applicable.
  • Improve reliability, security, and product quality.

Plaid-linked data

When you connect a financial institution through Plaid, your bank credentials are handled by Plaid — not stored by Arc. Arc receives access tokens and account data authorized by you.

See our Plaid disclosure for more detail on what Plaid collects and how to revoke access.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate Arc (hosting, email, payments, Plaid) under contractual confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.

Household members you invite can view and edit the shared plan you belong to.

Retention & deletion

We retain plan and linked-account history while your account is active so charts and forecasts stay meaningful.

You may export your plan and linked history from Settings → Data & privacy, or delete individual accounts from Net Worth. To close your Arc account entirely, use Delete account in Settings — linked banks are revoked at Plaid and your profile is removed.

Security

Financial institution credentials never touch Arc servers. Plaid access tokens are stored server-side and are not returned to the browser.

Database access is protected with row-level security scoped to your household plan.
